Marie's primary role is to assess and recommend treatment modalities for children and youth experiencing learning difficulties, developmental delays, attention problems, behaviour concerns, limited motivation, study skills challenges, problems at home or with peers, and mental health issues such as anxiety and depression.

With a background in delivering therapy in individual and group formats, Marie has been trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Play Therapy, Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). She effectively integrated these approaches into her work with children, adolescents, and parents,

In addition to her work, Marie is a parent to a child with a complex medical and cognitive profile. With a deeper personal understanding of this, her doctoral research focuses on the impact of stress on families, particularly siblings, with children with complex needs. This experience has given her a unique perspective and a sense of compassion for her clients and their families as she works with them to provide support while they grow together. As a parent, she understands the importance of giving children and youth who are facing developmental struggles a supportive place to grow in a way that fits their needs.

Marie's dream of creating a paediatric hub for struggling children and youth recently became a reality. As the co-founder of Flourish on Queen, she provides support for families in The Beaches area of Toronto.

Marie is dedicated to providing a sense of support and calm to her clients and their families. She strives to help them grow and thrive in all aspects of their lives together.
