Marta Paszucka
Psychological Associate
What sets Marta apart is her easy demeanor and her dedication to creating customized experiences for each of her clients.
Marta Paszucka is a Psychological Associate with a passion for helping her clients gain self-understanding and develop their personal strengths. Since graduating with a master’s in clinical psychology in 2014, she has worked with a diverse range of client populations and presenting concerns, in several private and public settings. She is experienced in providing care for both high-risk, acute difficulties, as well as for long standing mental health concerns and patterns. Marta has worked in hospitals, community mental health centers, crisis lines, public schools, and private practice, and her wide range of experiences has given her an expansive repertoire of tools that she can use to tailor treatment for each client.
Marta's approach to therapy is integrative, which means that she draws from a variety of therapeutic modalities to find the most relevant, workable approach for her clients. She believes in nurturing both acceptance and change, and mixing client-centered, insight-oriented work with symptom-busting strategies and tools. Marta believes that all therapeutic schools and approaches have something to teach us, and that by using a diverse array of tools she can yield the best results for everyone she works with. Her goal is to help clients leave therapy feeling they’ve learned something new which they can use to approach life's challenges.
What sets Marta apart is her ability to connect and put people at ease. She is passionate about creating an accepting environment to facilitate honest exploration of whatever difficulties her clients are facing. She loves getting to know her clients on a deeper level so she can form a nuanced understanding of their experiences and the ways in which these have brought them to where they are. She likes to focus on areas such as anxiety, depression, OCD, self-criticism, shame, high expectations, perfectionism, stress, and relational difficulties.
Marta believes that self-knowledge is powerful. She has always been curious about people: what motivates us, what helps us flourish, and what makes us self-sabotage. Her goal when working with someone is to help them to cultivate greater levels of self-understanding and self-compassion, so they can build lives of greater ease and possibility.
